Fireplace

This is really a test to see if I can get the pictures bigger. But I love the fireplace.

Blue Cracker

"Blue Cracker Mama Peese (please)"

He calls the graham crackers blue crackers because of the blue box. This is about all he eats right now. This and yogurt sticks. :)

Goose and Dozer help with Laundry

The kids LOVE our bathtub. I don't blame them, I love it too. It's deep, has jets and the perfect angle for my head. No more buying a bath pillow only to throw it away a few months later because it's all gross. I was trying to fold laundry but they stole a bunch of it and were having a blast throwing it in and out of the bath tub.

My Beautiful Girl

Thought this was such a beautiful shot of her. She looks like she could be so much older. She still loves this dress from Auntie.

Goosie Gooise, How does your garden grow?

We are not going to worry about building a garden in our yard this year since it's so late in the year. Claire and I saw this kit at Lowes. It's a grow your own pizza garden. We are going to attempt to see if anything will grow. Except I got confused and didn't really read the directions. We got the big part of it done first and then I realized I needed to grow the starts. Oops. We will just see how it does. The first thing she did this morning was go straight to the starts to check on them.

Brushing Your Teeth With Oreos

I saw someone post the other day on facebook on how cleaning your house with kids help is like brushing your teeth with Oreos. I felt that way this morning while I tried to get a few things done.

They love the Swiffer though. Whenever Claire complains she has nothing to do I tell her to Swiffer. Here they are fighting over it.

Then they fought over who was going to use the vacuum versus Swiffer.

And here Wyatt is "helping" me with the vacuum cord.

Oklahoma City Zoo

We checked out the Oklahoma City Zoo yesterday. It only costs a dollar on Wednesdays during July and August which was great, but it also meant it was crowded. It was HOT so not a lot of animals were out, but for a dollar we weren't going to complain. Wyatt never complained (surprisingly) about getting out of the stroller so not too many pics of him. The zoo was cool and we only saw a small portion of it. We are excited to go back and explore more.

Claire climbing on a lion.

The bears were probably the best thing we saw. Two grizzlies were napping in the water. You can see them laying behind the kids. You can tell the kiddos were tired and HOT at this point.

The best thing we saw were these black bears. This one was either trying to kiss or eat Claire through the glass. She was loving it either way.

Have A Seat

I told the kids to stay in the kitchen with their juice. Wyatt plopped himself right down in the walkway and covered himself up with Claire's blanket. Pretty darn cute.

Pool

One thing we decided on if we were going to do this crazy move is find a neighborhood with a pool. I am so glad that we did; It's probably where I get my most social time. I've been able to talk to some of the moms at the pool and it's given Claire a much needed social outlet. We did not have born water babies and they are both doing great. Wyatt is still pretty clingy. I can't wait to be like the other moms and sit by the pool with my kindle and watch them. :)

Today Claire met some sisters who brought their barbies down and shared with her. She invited them over to our house for a playdate.

The other day I was throwing the ball outside of the pool. Wyatt would run, get it, throw it into the pool and jump in after it. I couldn't believe it. However, it's been too hot to walk outside of the pool since so no repeat.

We have been walking down to the pool which I think is about a quarter mile away and then after our walk home we have a popsicle. New tradition.

Me too!

Critters

We have found a few critters here in Oklahoma.

Chris found this guy walking around our backyard. I believe he is a Ornate Box Turtle. He was super cute and very scared of us. Especially Chloe. We had fun watching him walk around before we left him along.

Claire took this picture of the butterfly in the backyard.

We also found a Black Widow Spider in our garage. It made Chris jump about a mile high. We had the house sprayed right after that. :) You can hear the cicadas almost constantly in the trees. Especially at night when I am going for a run or walk. Finally I saw a black snake in the back yard. I believe it was a black rat snack, which is non-posionous.

Hanging Out

We've had lots of time to hang out at our new house. Last week we were pretty much stuck here until my car got here. We've done lots of art projects on our awesome patio on the back yard. It has lots of room because our patio furniture is still not here.

Our first project was fingerpainting. I thought this would be something to keep them entertained. I was wrong. It required all my attention and no boxes unpacked. :) The kids were a mess, but they had fun. The paper had to be held down with a bunch of rocks because of the infamous Oklahoma constant wind (which so far I enjoy and has not annoyed me yet.)

We also have spent almost everyday working on our "house." They have had a blast glueing and coloring on this huge wardrobe box we had from the move.

We also attempted to have a water balloon fight. However, I was having trouble filling the ballons and the darn things just popped as soon as they were filled. So instead we used a pump to fill them with air. Then we had fun with static electricity and created these beautiful window treatments to surprise Chris with when he got home.
