My biggest struggle with this whole SAHM thing is the pretend play. I know its so important for their development but I just don't have the patience for it. Claire loves to play kitty and as soon as I hear that meow I immediately tense up. I never do anything quite right when it comes to pretend and it makes me cranky. I try to keep us busy with projects instead. Wyatt is starting to be able to play a lot more so hopefully he can play kitty with her real soon. Besides kitties make me sneeze. Even pretend ones.
This week we made a box train/car thing.
The first attempt:
I tried to use brackets to keep the boxes together but that didn't work. The next day Claire and I basically taped the crap out of the boxes, and cut some windows:
The inside with the steering wheels (quite proud of the steering wheels I must say). However, if we had my way I would have covered them in foil. But I lost that battle.
