Compost - Like Fine Wine

Just read a gardening quote "Compost is best aged like fine wine." How is that not appropriate for me???

When we were talking about moving out here and I was listing off all the things I "had" to have in order to make this move a composter was one of them. I'd been bugging Chris for awhile and this seemed as good as time as any to play some cards.

I also attempted to play the cards with Chris's boss. I told him a composter should be part of his sign on bonus. I was kidding....Kinda. :)

Once we got here I told Chris I really wanted that composter but he always had an excuse. We needed a fence first. Then we needed the fence to get stained. Blah, blah, blah. Little did I know Jonathon was buying me a composter and Chris was trying to hold me off. I can be a pain when I want something. :)

And...yesterday I was extremely happily surprised to find a package from the Biards on my front porch. A composter!!!!!

It was all I could do to get through lunch and get Wyatt down for a nap before I opened that box up.

I saw the bag of screws and almost decided to wait for Chris, but then I remembered the bookcase, the table and the chairs and thought I CAN DO THIS!

Besides, I had my assistant.

She was ready with the wrench, but lost interest fairly quickly. Especially when assistant 2 never fell asleep and I choose to work on the composter instead of battle him.

Here is the halfway point.

And Voila, I did it!

I need another WAHOOO!!!!!!

Here is the first batch to go into the compost. Some paper towells, potato chips and the stems from some grapes.

Thank you, Thank you to the Biards!!! I am so excited and very thankful for their thoughtfulness.
